The Lenkowski's {Family}

Kevin and I have been long overdue for updated professional and family portraits and we knew we wanted fun, dramatic images that matched our personal photography style.

<...Enter Jill Lenkowski...owner and extremely talented photographer of Two Ring Photography based in Williamston, Michigan...>

We met Jill over a year and a half ago a the Lansing MWEP (Michigan Wedding and Event Professionals) networking group and have gotten to know her better at other various networking events throughout the year.  We just love her drama, zest and love of all things beautiful she portrays in her photography.  She is talented in the use of natural light, but she also is a mean off-camera flash (OCF) operator!  We specifically wanted to use OCF for our portraits, so we were so glad that we could exchange professional services with Jill.

This past weekend was the first time we met Jill's husband and two girls, and we absolutely loved hanging out with them and getting to know them.  Not only was it fun working for and with each other, it was also great just hanging out, eating pizza and swapping stories.  Everything went so beautifully that we already have another date planned to hang out and enjoy breadsticks at Tomato Bros. in Howell.  We can't wait!

In the meantime, be sure to check out these teasers images from our evening with the Lenkowski's.  They have a stylish, fun and loving family, and we hope that we were able to capture just a little bit of this busy, energetic and lively time in their lives.  Children grow and change so fast - hold on to and cherish your memories forever.

Alec Mansour {2013 Senior}

We love receiving new senior clients from referrals!  Alec was referred to us by his younger sister Mary, who attends Franklin Road Christian School - where we have been blessed to photograph quite a few of the seniors over the past few years.  We absolutely love being able to connect with these students because not only are they great individuals, and the school a great school, it is also the school I (Heather) graduated from!  It may be just a *few* years since I've graduated (hahaha), but I love still being a part of Franklin Road in this way.

Alec was a lot of fun to work with and was one of the most relaxed Senior guys we have photographed.  We loved exploring Milford for his senior session with his family and girlfriend - he had quite the entourage and support team.  It was great going to a few new corners of the downtown area and Central Park for something different and fun.

Enjoy these teasers from our session together with him!

Jamie Krause {Prom}

Jamie Krause is truly a beautiful person, inside and out, and we are so blessed by her often.  Jamie is our official ignited Photography intern and has assisted us with many of our weddings and fashion shoots.  We appreciate her hard work, her gentle spirit and her positive outlook on life.  She is a fun person to be around and is a hard worker too.  We found a gem when we hired her!

It's a small form of repayment for her hard work, but we were happy when Jamie asked us to capture some portraits of her before her Senior Prom.  As she says goodbye to her final year of high school, it's important to capture the memories so they can be cherished forever.  Because of the rushed schedule with getting ready and meeting friends, we only had about 20 minutes with Jamie.  Plus, since it was pouring rain and chilly out, we kept most of the portraits indoors, or right on our covered front porch.  Even still, when weather and time aren't on your side, it is good to be creative and think outside of the box!  lol

The Canterbury's {Family}

We have been photographing the Canterbury Family now for the past 6 years and it is so amazing and fun to see their family grow!  To even imagine their oldest as a mere 3 month old requires quite a stretch of the imagination, well either that or a quick trip into our archived files ... lol.  We love the Canterbury's and it is really neat to know that we can be such a integral part of their memory-keeping.  These images will be great in the next installment of their family album!  Enjoy!

Josh & Emily {Engaged!}

Do we travel out of state for engagement sessions?  You bet!  We were thrilled to have the opportunity last week to head over and explore Cleveland, Ohio for Josh and Emily's portraits.  Neither Kevin nor I have ever been to Cleveland so it was a fun experience to get to know both Josh and Emily, and a new city, all at once.  The areas that we saw were quite beautiful and we loved all of the intriguing architecture and detail in the downtown area.

Spending time with Josh and Emily was a lot of fun - we spent a long time taking pictures and then finished the evening off with a great dinner together.  It was great getting to know them both and learning their story and the details of their relationship.  We can't wait for their wedding this fall here in Brighton, Michigan and are really looking forward to capturing all of the moments of their wedding day.

Enjoy these few teasers from our time together!
