AMAZING iPhone accessory

I don't know about you, but I happen to be a tech junkie.  I came across this super cool robotic motion platform (as they refer to it) called Galileo by MOTRR.  They are still in the process of raising money to get it to production, but seeing as they've raised $700,000+ of the needed $100,000 (yep, you read that right - 7x the amount needed!) I think it's a sure bet we'll see this sweet gadget later this year!

"The Galileo is a revolutionary, iOS-controlled robotic iPhone platform with infinite spherical rotation capability. Just swipe your finger on the screen of your iPad or other iOS device and Galileo reacts, orienting your iPhone or iPod Touch accordingly.  With applications in areas of photography, cinematography, social networking, and video conferencing, Galileo gives iOS devices endless possibilities of remote-controlled motion. Capable of infinite 360° pan-and-tilt at speeds up to 200° per second in any orientation, Galileo is an invaluable tool to everyone from an amateur photographer to the professional cinematographer, and vastly improves the experience of video chat for anyone needing to stay connected." ~MOTRR.com

I don't know about you, but I'm already on the waiting list!  :)

Morgan McDole {2012 Senior}

Morgan's Senior Portraits have been a much-anticipated experience!  Between stormy days, major heat-waves and busy schedules, it has been a huge challenge to get Morgan's portraits taken.  However, the determined do succeed, even if the day we actually do get to take the portraits hits 101 degrees!  We've never been on a hotter shoot, but regardless of the crazy heat, the portrait session was a great success!  Morgan was a trooper and was great at keeping herself cool and sweat-free.  Kevin and I, on the other hand, were a wet, sweaty mess!  lol.  Ah well, the end results were worth every drop of perspiration!  Check out Morgan's teasers from the evening and let her know what you think of them!  :)

Sarita McAndrew {2013 Senior}

Sarita is our farthest traveled senior, to date!  She came all the way from Minnesota for her portrait session and we were fortunate the weather cooperated, since she was only in town for a few short days.  The day was a scorcher, so we waited until later in the evening to start her session.  Not only were we blessed with slightly cooler weather, but we were also fortunate enough to capture an amazingly colorful sunset!

Sarita's wish was to have her portraits taken with two of her favorite horses, Dollar and Leroy, but she also had the opportunity to grab a few with Romeo while she was with us too.  The night was gorgeous and we had so much fun posing and capturing Sarita in one of her favorite places in the world - on the farm surrounded by horses.

Enjoy these few teasers from Sarita's session and be sure to let her know what you think!
A completely candid shot from the very end of the evening!

Johnny & Amber {Maternity}

We just love Johnny and Amber and were so excited to be able to capture their maternity portraits for them!  We scheduled the portraits for approximately 4 weeks before baby Caleb's due date - close, but normally plenty of time to get the portraits turned around for Johnny and Amber - especially since it was their first baby.  However, Caleb decided to make his debut a few weeks early, and less than a week after we took the portraits, Caleb arrived!

We are so happy for Johnny and Amber and so excited to meet baby Caleb!  We know these two lovebirds are going to make great parents and have no doubt that their home is going to filled with laughter and lots of fun times!

Congratulations you two!!!

Justin & Emily Fenner {Wedding!}

It is always a pleasure to work with couples as amazing as Justin and Emily!  We met them over a year ago at the the Novi Bridal Expo and quickly connected with them as professionals and as friends.  They are both laid back and fun, but also extremely organized and thorough.  We always coach our couples on their wedding timeline, but were thrilled when Justin and Emily not only took our suggestions seriously, but also allowed for more time and cushion for the unexpected things that always creep up on a wedding day.  The results were an extremely calm, well thought out and planned wedding day that everybody enjoyed!

The wedding took place entirely at the Glen Oaks Country Club and the weather was sunny, slightly breezy and hot.  We began our day with Emily, her bridesmaids and family at the Rouse home for "getting ready" shots of everyone.  The morning was very quiet and relaxing until the power on the whole block went out about halfway through the preparation process!  As much as this event could have thrown everyone into a tailspin, Emily and her entire group remained calm and collected.  The fact that there was no more electricity made it difficult to finish up hair and make-up, but everything fell into place seamlessly.  The lack of air conditioning was probably the biggest complaint of all since it was in the high 80s and still getting hotter as the morning progressed.

After the electricity mishap, the day went along smoothly and we had a great time with everyone involved.  We were helped out incredibly by our amazing assistant for the day, Joy Bural, who traveled all the way from Canada to help out and learn from us.  She is a great photographer herself, so it was nice having someone so capable by our side!

Enjoy these teasers from Justin and Emily's beautiful wedding and be sure to leave them some feedback and love!  Also, to find out how they put together this gorgeous day, check out their list of vendors at the bottom of this blog post.
