Jolene Little {2013 Senior}

We had such a fun night with Jolene for her senior portraits!  Really, I think it was the most dramatic portrait session we've had in a long time, and we laughed and joked our way through the whole thing!

Lest we be boring, we started our portrait session with Jolene in downtown Milford, right at the same time as Music in the Park began.  There were so many people in the park for the concert and another professional photographer also working their senior in between the crowds around Central Park, so we had to strategically angle and arrange our shots.  Jolene was a great sport though and we were able to spend a lot of time in the back corners of the park, which are, of course, the most beautiful part of the area.

From Central Park we headed over to the railroad tracks and then on to Kensington to catch sunset.  This is where the drama really kicked into high gear - there was a storm front moving in and the clouds were simply unbelievable!  We took a lot of great shots against the amazing natural backdrop God provided, and then headed back to downtown Milford to try to beat the rain.

As fast as we were, we weren't fast enough and the rain began to pour ... and I mean really pour!  We huddled under an umbrella at first, but quickly realized that the umbrella just wasn't going to cover it and headed back to our cars.  Soon, the rain began to soften (slightly) and Jolene was totally up to shooting in the rain.  (I think she may be our first senior girl willing to do so!)  We huddled under the umbrella with our equipment and Jolene got drenched!  Eventually, the rain did stop, so even though it was late, we walked into downtown again and had some fun with the wet, night time streets of Milford.

It truly was a fun, unusual, and gorgeous night!  We enjoyed spending time with Jolene and her family, and we hope you enjoy seeing some of the teasers from our session together.  Leave Jolene some love and let her know what you think of her images!

Robert & Heather {Engaged!}

Robert and Heather's engagement portraits were pretty near perfect.   The couple was fun, totally in love and super cute; the weather was mild, sunny and just a little breezy; the clouds were fluffy, white and dramatic; dinner and ice cream were delicious; the conversation was fun!  What a great way to spend a Friday evening!

A few months ago we met Heather and her mom at the Grand Opening of our favorite wedding boutique, The White Dress, in downtown Brighton.  It was fun watching Heather shop for wedding dresses and so exciting when she found just the right one.  We were able to chat with them after they shopped and both Heather and her mom were so excited!  How fun to be a part of such a momentous purchase.

Through all of our consultations and conversations, we were never able to meet up with Robert, so the night of the engagement was our first introduction.  It was great having the opportunity to finally meet him and to get to know the love of Heather's life.  :)  They are a wonderful couple and we are so glad they chose us to photograph their wedding day!

Enjoy these few teasers from our night together with them, and don't forget to leave them a little love.

AMAZING iPhone accessory

I don't know about you, but I happen to be a tech junkie.  I came across this super cool robotic motion platform (as they refer to it) called Galileo by MOTRR.  They are still in the process of raising money to get it to production, but seeing as they've raised $700,000+ of the needed $100,000 (yep, you read that right - 7x the amount needed!) I think it's a sure bet we'll see this sweet gadget later this year!

"The Galileo is a revolutionary, iOS-controlled robotic iPhone platform with infinite spherical rotation capability. Just swipe your finger on the screen of your iPad or other iOS device and Galileo reacts, orienting your iPhone or iPod Touch accordingly.  With applications in areas of photography, cinematography, social networking, and video conferencing, Galileo gives iOS devices endless possibilities of remote-controlled motion. Capable of infinite 360° pan-and-tilt at speeds up to 200° per second in any orientation, Galileo is an invaluable tool to everyone from an amateur photographer to the professional cinematographer, and vastly improves the experience of video chat for anyone needing to stay connected." ~MOTRR.com

I don't know about you, but I'm already on the waiting list!  :)

Morgan McDole {2012 Senior}

Morgan's Senior Portraits have been a much-anticipated experience!  Between stormy days, major heat-waves and busy schedules, it has been a huge challenge to get Morgan's portraits taken.  However, the determined do succeed, even if the day we actually do get to take the portraits hits 101 degrees!  We've never been on a hotter shoot, but regardless of the crazy heat, the portrait session was a great success!  Morgan was a trooper and was great at keeping herself cool and sweat-free.  Kevin and I, on the other hand, were a wet, sweaty mess!  lol.  Ah well, the end results were worth every drop of perspiration!  Check out Morgan's teasers from the evening and let her know what you think of them!  :)

Sarita McAndrew {2013 Senior}

Sarita is our farthest traveled senior, to date!  She came all the way from Minnesota for her portrait session and we were fortunate the weather cooperated, since she was only in town for a few short days.  The day was a scorcher, so we waited until later in the evening to start her session.  Not only were we blessed with slightly cooler weather, but we were also fortunate enough to capture an amazingly colorful sunset!

Sarita's wish was to have her portraits taken with two of her favorite horses, Dollar and Leroy, but she also had the opportunity to grab a few with Romeo while she was with us too.  The night was gorgeous and we had so much fun posing and capturing Sarita in one of her favorite places in the world - on the farm surrounded by horses.

Enjoy these few teasers from Sarita's session and be sure to let her know what you think!
A completely candid shot from the very end of the evening!
